DescriptionTwo images of old stone observation stations along the survey of the 39th Parallel line. One photo is of the summit station on Uncompahgre Peak, Colorado. The other is of the summit station on Tushar Mountain, Utah. William Eimbeck, an Officer for the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey in the late 1800s, was charged with completing this part of the survey. These images are taken from a calendar produced by the Utah Council of Land Surveyors. This is for November 2009.
