| Description | This photograph shows the beauty of Fibonacci's numbers. I was always intrigued by this idea and have come to appreciate the beauty that these numbers create. Fibonacci developed a system of numbering that has a strong correlation to nature. The sequence begins 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, etc. Each number is found by adding the two numbers before it in the sequence. Nearly all plants and flowers relate to this numbering sequence in that the number of leaves or petals tends to fall in the sequence. It is believed that these numbers will create the perfect balance and beauty. Lilies especially tend to fall into this sequence of numbers. |
