Biographical/Historical Note |
Jane Turner, born in England in 1840, is identified on the back of the photograph as William's wife, Helen's great-grandmother, and Howe's sister-in-law. She may be a sister or sister-in-law to Ann Turner Howe. The 1880 Federal Census identified her at forty years old as being a wife of William Turner, who was also married to Ann Turner, age seventy-five. They were all living in South Cottonwood, Salt Lake County, Utah in 1880. |
