Peter is a well loved and influential teacher and student of the arts. He has authored a book entitled “Art Do It.” Myer retired from Brigham Young University after teaching for nearly 30 years. Although the human figure has been his primary focus, recently he has been doing "skyscapes" from his deck, sketching quickly as the clouds and light changed.
Myer's work has been exhibited in major museums throughout the country. He is best known for his kinetic light sculpture, which has been featured in Time magazine, The New York Times and a number of other publications. His most recent kinetic work includes a mirrored chamber installation, Worlds Without End, and an interactive work, Sing to the Spheres.
