fRADEWIND ' - ZZZ3 VOLUME 3, NUMBER 3 , UTAH TECHNICAL COLLEGE OF PROVO OCTOBER 13197? The CDC Is Here Come and Browse "We want suggestions of what students feel they need," said Monie Morrell, director of the Career Development Center. "Students should be aware that UTC is in the process of developing a new Career Development Center across the hall from the Dean of Student's office," said Carl Yaeger, Placement Director for UTC. The center is designed to offer the students a wide range of informational services covering a variety of career opportunities which are related to programs offered at UTC. The center is divided into several areas. One contains literature from companies who have traditionally hired UTC graduates. There is also a revolving display rack which contains information about many" career op-protunities and fields. Much of the literature in this rack is not directly related to UTCP programs. Another area which has just been completed is the Women's Area. This area contains books and magazines which show how career women, 'first ladies', and famous women have coped with the problems and successes of being in "the limelight." It is planned that the CDC will be closely related to the functions of the Placement office. In the future, the Career Placement office and CDC may, function as a single combined! office. "I wish to encourage students to visit and take advantage of the CDC," said Carl Yaeger.
