Most of the' grass has been Dlanted around the rhic an dot the scenery. This foot bridge is only one example of the beautiful landscaping . P 0Und tte Schools' and trees X) ' ( VJelcomeTo Utah Tech At Provo! This bicentennial year has great meaning and signifance to all of us. It has refreshed our memories of the Declaration of Independence and our Constitution. We hope that everyone in this country has been motivated to become a better citizen, to uphold the standards of freedom, and to recognize worthwhile goals of life. This is a banner year at Utah Technical College at Provo for new students and for the students who are returning. This year we move into the first build-ing on our Orem campus. This will involve all of those in the Automotive Trades Department. This building will be ready for your use at the beginning of the Fall Quarter. Two other buildings will be available for occupancy in January of 1977. They will be the Business Education Building and the Student Center. Approximately 1,000 students, or one-third of our enrollment will be on the new school year. These are the finest" facilities in 'the state, and great care has been taken to make them practical and beautiful for your use. We are especially pleased with the Student Center, a facility which has long been needed, and which is being paid for through student funds. You will be proud of this building, and we hope you will invite your families and friends to enjoy it with you. We are glad you are here hope that the time spent wit! will be profitable and meanf ful in your life. Most of you ha v already made one of the most important choices of your life that of what your life's work will be. This choice will give direction and purpose to the rest of your life. We encourage you to use your time here effectively. Your instructors and all personnel of the school are here to help you and to' see that you receive the very best vocational - technical education.
