SorensGii Selected fls Provo's Citizen Of The Year For 1980 .....T X.- - - WILSON W. U.7.C. Council Plans Slri Party Event by Pat Peterson Get out your thermals and boots. It's Ski Party Time. The ASUTC Annual Park West Ski Party will be Saturday, Feb. 7, 1981 from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Park West Ski Resort. The activities have been scheduled at the following times ;Skiing-5:00 to 10:00 p.m. (ski passes good only during this time) Dinner-7 p.m. -9 p.m. Dinner will be served continuously during this time period. Movie-7-10 p.m. Dance-10-11 :30 p.m. Hayride-6-10 p.m. This schedule is just to show the availability of each activity but is not a strict out line. If you want to ski GEORGE TANNER "Family Portrait," a great broadway hit, will be performed by UTC students around Easter time. Help is needed immediately in the areas of acting, lighting, scenery, make-up, etc. This play is about the family of Christ, and SORENSEN from 5 until 10 with a dinner break at 8:30, feel free The UTC Student Council wants to encourage non-skiers as well as skiers to attend as there are plenty of activities planned for all. The cost to skiers for the complete evening will be $7.00 with non-skiers paying $4.00 for the package. Ski rentals will be available at Park West for $4.50. The possibility of a bus from UTC is being considered if we have enough people that would ride the . bus. A sign-up sheet is posted at the Orem Student Center Office where tickets are now being sold. The board of directors of the Provo Chamber of Commerce has selected Wilson W. Sorensen as Provo's Citizen of the Year for 1980. The announcement was made at the chamber's Installation would ride the bus, if provided. If there are enough people to fill a bus. one will be provided for a minimal fee. There "will be a notice as to that decision in next Friday's paper. A reminder that as this is a school sponsored activity, no alcohol will be allowed at the activity, and none will be served at Park West.The Student Council would appreciate adherence to this ruling so as not to jeapordize further activities. Everyone is in-vited to join us on or off the slopes for a FUN TIME. Tax Help The Rho Lambda Chapter of Phi Beta Lambda at UTC will again be sponsoring the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program in conjunction with the Internal Revenue Service. VITA is designed to help low income families prepare their tax returns. The fee will be $85, which includes transportation and lodging. This activity is open to anyone who would like to go. The bus will leave Coalition to Save Geneva. He and Richard Bradford of UVIDA continue to lead the coalition and their efforts have expanded to a nationwide group to save the steel industry.Sorensen also has served as president of the - ;?
