: VOLUME 5 No. 10 3 By Bill Gerow Transportation from the Provo Campus to the new campus in Orem is no longer a problem for those students who do not have cars. A bus is now in service by the College to shuttle students between the two campuses. In the mornings the schedule will be to pick up students at the southwest corner of the Provo Campus at 20 min. before each hour. It will arrive at the Orem Campus at ten min. before the hour and then imediately returning to the Provo campus in order to arrive on the hour. At noon the schedule will change. The bus will leave Provo at ten min. before the hour and will return by ten after. The final bus run will be at 1:50 p.m. until 2:10 p.m. All students wishing to use the bus are advised to be early. Any of the busses are liable to show up a little early for the run. ' I .1 V- r IS 'J A Happy Thanksgiving from the Tradewinds wonders how staff. School will not be held this Thursday and her table. Friday in celebration of Thanksgiving. Lisa At the weekly student government meeting the name for the new Student center was discussed. It has been suggested that the new center be named after Wilson W. Sorenson , President of the UTC-P. On December 16th of this year a meeting will be held to decide the final name for the new Student Center. Student Officers also, discussed the problem of theft in the Orem Campus. Between Nov. 12 and 14 two tool boxes were stolen from the deasil mechanics shop. One of the problems is there is not place to lock things up. Student officers took into consideration a few ways of solving the problem. The council briefly summed up skii week then moved onto a discussion of a school melodramma. The melodrama is a three act play which will cost $300. They brought up the subject of a drama club to help share in the expenses of the Melodrama. ... -v. -yi&-, . j Up coming events were brought up. Free pumpkin pie is scheduled for Nov. 24, with the next activity taking place November 30, with a dart singles game. An old comedy films festival will be hied Dec. 6-10 and a bowling singles tournament will take place Dec. 7. Eric Frame met with the council to talk over current problems in the Security Department. Mr. Frame felt that with winter conditions in the future, more help would be needed in the traffic division of his department. Student officers felt that perhaps a studentbody forum could be held, with the entire studentbody in attendance to ask questions about Mr.. Frame's job. Also on the agenda was the discussion of an amendment to the student council constitution, and upcoming use of the Orem Campus student center. "The Young Ambassador are a singing group from t Brigham Young Universi which tours the United State The two speakers will talk missionary work through ttv singing. The Forum will begin at 12: p.m. and willl last for 50 min. will be held at the Institi Building across from the IT Campus. Christmastime Dance Slated On December 15, UTC-P sponsoring the anni Christmas Dance to be held the Provo City Coun Building's lobby. The dance w start at 8:30 p.m. and contin on until around 12. Portrait, a local band, will playing soft rock for this forn event. Admission price will be before and $2.50 at the doc Pictures will be taken. The dress for this event w be formal, with corsages a' boutineers optional.
