Berganst The pedestrian crossing at the Provo campus, that crosses University Avenue has been the subject of controversy and concern for over two years. Chief of Police for UTC, Eric Frame, originally requested a pedestrian overpass. In talking with City Engineer, Jack Zerbes Tradewinds learned that reconstruction of the entire intersection will get underway this spring and according to Zerbes should be completed by mid-June. The new intersection will provide ample room for Dr. Jacobson to be Forum Speaker Dr. Phyllis Jacobson will be the Forum speaker at the Institute of Religion on April 11 at 8p.m. The event will be held at the Orem Institute Building. Dr. Jacobson is currently Chairman of the Brigham Young University Department of Physical Education for Women. At Byu, she has taught in the elementary and secondary physical education programs, served as an archery, skiing and golf coach, and has been instru UTAH traffic to turn on to 1450 North. The plans call for closing the current to the UTC Provo Campus and construct a new entrance opposite of 1450 North. A sidewalk will be added to both sides of University Ave. Provo City hasn't made any plans for a light at this intersection. According to a city spokesman, the state of Utah is responsible for the signal. Chief Frame expressed his disappointment with regards to the delay of the signal. Other traffic and safety hazards currently affecting UTC ProvoOrem is the mental in the teaching, structuring and revising of the women's physical education teacher preparation program. He pointed out that the State could take up to five years before a light could be placed into operation. Enrollment The Utah State Board of Regents recently learned that all full-time Utah colleges had an enrollment decline in the winter quarter under the previous fall, but Utah Technical College at Provo and Orem had the smallest of any, Utah Tech President Wilson W. Soren-sen pointed out today. Enrolment at Utah Technical College at Provo and Orem dropped only 2.5 percent, according to state figures, based on full-time equivalent enrollment. Next lowest was Utah Technical College at Salt Lake with 2.7 percent, ranging up to 9.1 percent at Dixie College.
