Marvin Higbee will officially be inaugurated today, November 19, as President of Utah Technical College ProvoOrem. Festivities Planned Throughout the Day The inauguration of J. Marvin Higbee as president of Utah Technical College at ProvoOrem will take place today. The days activities will begin at 10 a.m. Dignataries, selected faculty members, arid President Higbee will participate in a processional which will commence in the Student Center and move to the Cafeteria. Immediately following the colorful processional will be the Convocation, featuring remarks from several of the visiting dignataries and the swearing in of President Higbee. The Dignatary Luncheon will begin at 12 noon at the Institute Building. Attendance at the luncheon is by invitation only. This evening there will be more festivities including a receiving line and Inaugural Ball, which will be held in the cafeteria. The dance will start at 8 p.m. Administrators, dignataries and faculty of UTC will be in attendance. Awards to President Higbee will be presented in ceremonies at the Inaugural Ball. Some of the dignataries that will be visiting our campus are: Lieutenant Governor, David Monson, Members of the Board of Regents: Ralph Blackham, LaMar Buckner, Mary Lunt, Rex Plowman, and Richard South wick. The President's Entourage: Commissioner Van Alstyne, Kem Gardner, David Jacobson, J.D. Davidson, Mike Johnson, and Howard Pace. Also in attendance will be: President Brady, of Weber State College, President Bennion of Snow College, President Carnahan of UTCSLC, President Gardner of the University of Utah, President Holland of Brigham Young University, President Hafen of Ricks College, President Randolph of The College of Eastern Utah in Price, President Sharrett of Southern Utah State College, and President Wade of Dixie College.
